Fan Expos little brother Fan Days took place this past weekend at the Irving Convention Center. Comic book illustrators, voice actors, cosplayers, actors and more filled the halls of the convention center. The talented Edward James Olmos, Ron Perlman, Anthony Daniels and Tommy Flanagan were just some of the entertainment juggernauts that attended this year. Unfortunately Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy, Luke Cage) was unable to attend.
This years pace felt a bit slower than last years in my opinion. The Dragonball North American Tour took up a large part of the vendor area last year and its abscence was felt. The vendor area was amazing as always with loads of trinkets, clothing and video games to choose from. For those with a passion for Funko Pops, there were many booths this year with very reasonable prices. It feels like no matter what youre favorite fantasy realm may be, you will almost always find a collectable thats right down your alley at Fan Days.
Cosplayers were in full effect this past weekend as well. The beauty of Fan Days is the creativity and confidence it sparks in people. For one weekend you get to spend time with thousands of people who share your interests and you can completely be yourself. A plethera of cosplays flooded the Cosplay Red Carpet. Young children and seasoned Cosplay veterans shared their hard work with their fellow con goers. All those long hours creating really do pay off when you see so many people intrigued by your work. Kudos to all the amazing crafters out there, its not easy.
All in all it was an awesome time this year at Dallas Fans Day
Did you attend? If so what was your favorite memory all weekend? let us know!
